Symbolism

As we launch the Mona Lisa Monologues during this COVID-19 Pandemic, we feel we have some unique symbolism to reflect upon. The Mona Lisa painting by Leonardo da Vinci was first introduced in 1505 during The Renaissance following the bubonic plague. The Mona Lisa masterpiece is by far one of the most famous and valuable paintings of all time, yet she is clouded with mystery. While we may never know her full story, there are so many other stories of strong women that we can tell.

It has been surmised that we will enter another revival of sorts following our current Covid-19 world. Based on current events, it is likely that in the next Awakening, women will rise to more influential leadership roles. Working in tandem, we will create more opportunities to stand together and lead with courage, respect, and dignity.
